The Satakunta Student House Saikku is a common meeting place in Pori for students from Satakunta. For over fifteen years, the core of Saikku's activities has been the nurturing, development, and revitalization of student culture in the Pori area.
Student House Saikku has been realized through the collaboration of student associations from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and the University Consortium of Pori. Thanks to this unique model of cooperation, Saikku is an exceptional entity in Finland, and there is no similar student house elsewhere. The house and its activities are maintained by Saikku's own board, which consists of students from various higher education institutions in Satakunta. The board takes care of the upkeep of the house, organizes events, and manages the house's rental activities.
The house hosts a wide variety of student events organized by different student organizations and other parties, and in addition, it is also rented out for private use by students and other groups.
The Saikku facilities are suitable for many different uses. The spaces can be rented by students, student organizations, private individuals, as well as companies for various parties, meetings, club activities, social gatherings, and other similar events.
